The Micro-Folie project is a local cultural initiative supported by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by La Villette in collaboration with 12 founding national institutions.

A true local cultural platform, the Micro-Folie network makes culture accessible to all by bringing together several thousand masterpieces from numerous regional, national, and international institutions and museums.

What is a Micro-Folie?

A Micro-Folie is a modular space offering fun access to works from the greatest national museums thanks to the Digital Museum, the heart of the project, which presents more than 3,200 digitized works from a network of 205 partner cultural institutions, including national, regional, and international ones. Micro-Folie also offers activities that complement the Digital Museum, such as a Reality space. It is designed as a local cultural structure, widely open to support and raise the profile of local initiatives.

Micro-Folie, a digital museum, is a cultural space accessible to all ages.
It allows visitors to discover art in a different way, thanks to interactive and immersive tools.

Self-guided tour

Free admission every Wednesday and Saturday, from 2pm to 5pm, no reservation required.
Every week, a new digital exhibition invites you to explore a different theme: masterpieces from major national and international institutions, or lesser-known collections from local museums.
Tablets are available to learn more about the works, with content designed by the museums themselves.

A virtual reality space offers you a unique artistic immersion.
Virtual reality headsets are available on request from staff.
Their use is not recommended for children under 6 years of age, and should be used in moderation for children up to 12 years of age.

Guided tour

Guided tours are available by reservation, to be booked 2 weeks to 1 month in advance:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
These tours allow you to explore the digital collection of over 3,500 works, either according to the current program or through a customized tour tailored to your needs or your audience.

Micro-Folie is a digital museum that allows students, from kindergarten to high school, to discover art in an interactive and original way. Thanks to digital technology, they can explore the great works of world artistic heritage, while developing a curious and critical eye.

More than just a cultural venue, Micro-Folie is a space for exchange, discovery, and enjoyment.

Tours and workshops

Sessions (lasting between 40 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes) are tailored to the age of the students and your educational objectives. They are based on a theme chosen in advance, linked to the program or tailored to your specific needs.
Micro-Folie is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Visits are by appointment only, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
